Sam Frost - Every Photo Has a Story

This is a Polaroid type 88 photo, shot in a Mamiya RB67 using a Polaroid M80 back.

I shot this church a few years ago, and have since decided I wanted to do a little rural church series on my remaining Polaroid type 80 film. This church is located right near Guyra, NSW, Australia which is approximately a 5 hour drive from where I live.

It just so happened that the weekend I decided to re visit this church, all the surrounding areas had a massive snowstorm which led to main highway closures for 2 days due to the snow, and also floods. I had to ignore road closed signs, and take a very long and slow detour up north, to finally reach the destination. And top it off, I had a hotel room booked, and because of the weather, the town had no power. So during my one night stay I had no lights, no heating, no hot water for a shower in temps of approx 1°C. -Sam
